What's New in version 1.1? • This manual! (Neat, isn't it?) • Hellmaker can now create and edit levels for Hexen. However, due to Hexen's increased complexity (compared to DOOM), it is harder to edit such levels. Currently, Hellmaker has more features available for editing DOOM levels. Please note that I am providing this feature as is, and will not provide any support for it at present (In other words, I will probably not answer any email concerning Hexen editing). • Hellmaker can now perform some checks on your level. It can check that all texture names are valid. It can check for the presence of a Player 1 Start Thing, and that all thing types are valid. It can check that no vertices are overlapping. • The texture selector has been enhanced and now shows thumbnails of all available textures. You can also create 'texture groups', i.e. groups of textures to make it easier to select the ones you use frequently. • The texture selector should now also be able to view textures that are contained in PWADS. • Hellmaker has functions to make a sector into a door or a lift. • Before opening a WAD file, you can preview the levels. • There is a 'Select One-Sided' command available that will select all the (one-sided) sidedefs of a sector (useful for changing the textures on all the walls of a room). • The sizes of Things are now shown. • Copy and paste for sidedef, sector, linedef and thing properties. • Any vertices that have less than two connected linedefs will be shown as a 'o' rather than a '+' (useful for finding errors). • The preferences box has been updated to allow you to specify different texture preferences for DOOM II, DOOM and Hexen. • Some other minor features have also been added.
